At Seniors Helping Seniors® Fox Valley, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie.  Our owner(s) Caroline Olinger, Scott Olinger firmly believe we can do that through serving seniors in our community, which includes: Batavia, St. Charles, Geneva, and surrounding communities.

About Seniors Helping Seniors Fox Valley:

Seniors Helping Seniors Fox Valley is a senior in-home care provider in Batavia, Illinois and surrounding areas of the Fox River Valley:  Kane, McHenry and portions of Dupage Counties.  We provide non-medical assistance for seniors by seniors. We work with seniors to ensure their safety, reduce loneliness, and to encourage their independent participation in life.

Caroline (Carlson) Olinger, Scott Olinger, Franchise Owners;

A native of St. Charles, and daughter of Mary and Floyd "Swede" Carlson,  Caroline and her husband Scott both retired from the military.   Caroline retired from the US Navy in 2013, and Scott from the USMC in 2004.  They met while attending the University of Illinois and were later married. Fast forward through almost 30 years of service, over 32 years of marriage, and two children when they decided to return “home” to be closer to family.  However, they weren’t home long before older family members needed their help.

"Over the years, we assisted, or cared for several family members who were diagnosed with dementia or were terminally ill, so we understood the toll caregiving can take on families.  My sister-in-laws;  Judy and Mary Ann Carlson, married to two of my six brothers in the area, also saw the need for compassionate care and wanted to help Scott and I with this endeavor.  Judy's background included work as a hospice and bereavement center administrator and Mary Ann as a global HR professional and caregiver.  They have both dealt with the personal stress of living far from their own family members as they aged. While Judy’s mother was ill, she drove the five hour commute from Batavia, Illinois to St. Louis, Missouri as frequently as she could until her mother’s passing.  Mary Ann continues to assist with her Mother's care in central Illinois.

With my family's support and encouragement, Scott and I agreed that 2015 was the time to open a Seniors Helping Seniors franchise.  We received our License from the State of Illinois in April, 2015.

Our goal remains to help foster relationships between loving, caring and compassionate Seniors with Seniors who need and want help to continue living in their own homes.  We have always believed in the philosophy of giving back to the community, and helping those in need".
